"Mack L. Charles" served honorably for 13 years under deep cover as a CIA non-official cover (NOC) operations officer, earning promotion and numerous awards. Then he was fired from the Agency by a corrupt CIA boss in retaliation for bringing a discrimination complaint.
To achieve his firing, Charles' boss resorted to obtaining and using a newly-created false official memorandum that purported to document major performance problems many years before, problems which had never been mentioned by anyone, which were utterly contradicted by Charles' record of service, and for which there was no corroborating evidence.
After his firing, Charles' corrupt CIA boss ordered his fiancée, also a CIA NOC officer, to cease all contact with him, under threat of being restricted to working at CIA Headquarters. This same boss has also prevented, on bogus grounds, Charles' publication of his hysterically-funny satirical novel, tentatively titled Madhouse: A Forbidden Novel of the CIA.
