Support Saipan Cares for Animals

Donate and make a difference in the lives of dogs and cats in the Northern Mariana Islands! Every dollar goes directly towards purchasing life saving medications and allows Saipan Cares for Animals to subsidize the cost of care for many low income families who often do not have the resources to afford treatment for their loved and cherished pets.

Saipan Cares for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit clinic and animal rescue that provides accessible services to the Northern Mariana Islands. Since the closure of only veterinary office in 2020 - and with no animal care services provided by the NMI government - SCA is currently the only organization providing medical care for our community's pets.

The reality of life for dogs and cats in the Northern Marianas is harsh. There are few animal protection laws, little education on pet care, and a lack of affordable government sponsored spay/neuter services, which has resulted in a large population of strays. The services provided by SCA include vaccination, emergency care, and spay/neuter services with the help of our volunteer veterinarians who come from all over the world to donate their time towards helping animals in need. SCA also functions as a rescue for sick and injured animals who have been abandoned or have grown up as strays in the jungle. We take in as many as we can, and we are almost always at or over capacity. We do our very best to heal these babies and find them new homes where they can experience love and safety - often for the first time.

Now SCA is in dire trouble. Because of a misunderstanding regarding the zoning of our current clinic in As Gonno when we moved in 5 years ago, we are required to move as soon as possible. We have secured a new location in As Lito, but the land is completely undeveloped and there are enormous costs associated with moving our operation including rent for the new space, building new kennels, and the teardown of our current facilities so that we can leave our As Gonno property in good condition when we move. If we cannot find these funds, we will be forced to close, and the people of the Northern Marianas will be left with no options for obtaining any type of medical care for their pets.
