Help Suz study mental health abroad!

Donation protected
Working through my first year of graduate school and clinical work has brought to light both the need for and lack of Spanish-speaking psychologists. There are many barriers to seeking mental health treatment, and it’s become clear that language is high on that list, especially in California. For that reason, I am embarking on a study abroad Spanish immersion program in South America this summer (with portions of the program being in Buenos Aires, Santiago, and Cusco). This program, through ECELA schools, is geared towards psychologists and even offers opportunities to shadow clinicians and gain supplemental training in community mental health settings. I would be able to both learn the language and use it in true clinical settings with native Spanish-speakers. Please thoughtfully and/or prayerfully consider helping me take a personal step towards bridging the gap between accessible mental health care and the clients in our community who are seeking it.
