A massive earthquake struck my country Nepal yesterday. It was powerful 7.9 magnittude earthquake that killed 3000+ people and also destroyed many homes, Roads
and Historical monuments etcs. Nepal has declared a state of emergency.
My heart breaks to think what everyone is going through at this moment losing their loved ones, their homes, their city
These are very difficult times for Nepal. Also Nepal is one of the least developed country in the world with a very high poverty rate, They need all the help they can get to overcome this terrible Disaster.
Our goal was to raise $50,000 but since we've already raised almost half amount in a day, lets aim higher. New GOAL : $100,000+
Most of the fund will be donated to re-build homes for the victims ( Possibly 300 New Homes)Main focus will be in the villages such as Nuwakot,Gorkha where there is poorer population and more poverty. And the rest will be to provide clothing, food and other necesary items
( I will also randomly choose one of the lucky Donor and transform into them in my next YOUTUBE video)
How I found out :
I woke up this morning and saw that my phone was filled with msgs asking me if my family were okay back home. I was so confused so I quickly opened my Fb to see what was going on. My homesfeed was filled with pictures of the earthquake devastation. Then I started panicking to see if my family was okay, thankfully my sister had messaged me and said that they were all safe. But she said it was the most traumatic experience ever. Everyone was screaming, crying and running to the streets for safety.
I also got to facetime with my dad and asked him if everyone was safe and about the extent of damage in the area. He said they were very lucky but his childhood village is all down to rubbles. Also my aunts village is in pretty bad shape too. I told him my viewers are very anxious to help in every way they can. Also since I don't really know any trustworthy places to donate, I would feel most comfortable if they along a team went and distribute the fund to the villagers. (My parents are missionaries so they spent most of their lives building churches, wells, homes, schools , toilets in the most rural parts of Nepal) . I can't imagine anyone else doing this besides them. He agreed and he is so proud that I am taking this big step to help my motherland.
So here I am with this page, Please Donate what you can and if you can't a prayer is also very much appreciated.
P.s Funds are being Transferred from Gofundme to Nepal via my Church Crossroads from CO that have also raised funds to help the people of Nepal.
