Nepal Earthquake Relief
Donation protected
Please donate to help the devastated people from the recent earthquake in Nepal.
An earthquake of 7.8 magnitude shook the central part of Nepal on April 25th, 2015. Many villages and cities, including the capital city Kathmandu, have been hit. Over 5,800 people have been reported dead, over 10,000 are injured and many people from the nearby rural villages are still unaccounted for. This toll number is expected to increase as more qualified personnel venture out to the smaller villages. Many historical monuments, including world heritage sites, and residential and public buildings have been either badly damaged or completely destroyed. This unimaginable extent of damage can be assessed through the video footage of aftermath of the earthquake that has been covered in national and international news media, and social networks.
People are forced to live on streets in dire conditions without basic necessities such as shelter, water, food, clothes, sanitation, electricity, and modes of communication.
Nepalese And Friends Cultural Association (NAFCA), established in 1998, is a non-profit organization of Nepalese community members in the Greater Sacramento, California area with a tax-exempt status under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are requesting everyone to help Nepal to recover from this devastating disaster.
