The Volunteer Cook India-Nepal
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Rayyan Haries and I am from Malaysia. I am currently volunteering in Khatanga, West Bengal, India. On Saturday I felt the devastating 7.9 earthquake in Nepal, it was big although we are about 10 hours drive away! News casualties, injuries and damages are emerging from the border city of India-Nepal such Bihar.
I am currently volunteering with a doctor who does free clinic for tribal villages here in West Bengal. We are planning to drive a truck full of clean water, food and medical supplies to Bihar and the border side of Nepal. We wouldn't be able to provide medical help in Nepal because of the law and restriction but we were told that we are able to bring in food and water to the survivors.
Here is our plan, on 4th of May 2015 , myself and Doctor Vritiisha will depart for Bihar on an overnight train from Purulia. We then will meet up with other sisters. We will buy our supplies for the survivors ( food, water and medical supplies, rent our truck and car in Bihar and assess and provide first response in Bihar. We then will go into the villages in the border of Nepal. Your donation will be utilized to mobilize our team to provide to the survivors with Food, clean water and some medical help.
Your donation is truly appreciated. Lets do what we can for a fellow brothers and sisters.
