I am Sidreis, a Latter-day Saint daughter of God in recovery from a sexual addiction.
My story started as a child where innocent, yet unbridled, curiousity led me down a dark path into the dark underworld of sexual addiction. There I remained for years, until the ember of hope was once again lit.
Six years ago I found recovery. Three years after that I filmed a video for the church's ARP program, and shortly after that I openly blogged about my addiction for the first time.
The Lord has used me in countless ways to further awareness of sexual addiction, especially among Latter-day Saints, and especially among Latter-day Saint women.
It is a huge problem that will not go away. Voices need to be raised in order to combat the ugliness that threatens all innocence.
Last year, the Lord directed me to write a book. I didn't have funding to publish it in hard copy, so I published it on Amazon in Kindle format. I've given 10 times more copies away than I have sold, for my purpose is to spread awareness and hope, not to make money.
However, I now feel that it's time to try and get my book published in hard copy. I know, for me, the feel and smell of a book somehow makes the experience of reading it that much more real. I still have no funds, so the Spirit whispered that I might try created a GoFundMe campaign in an effort to raise the funds.
I don't have much to give by way of reward, but anyone who donates $50 or more will receive a free autographed copy of the book.
