Taco de Mayo Charity Fundraiser for SCIP

Welcome to our celebration! The LA Unlimited Tacos invite you to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us by raising funds for the Southern California Immigration Project. All donations will be recognized with a digital Mexican-American recipe book, with original recipes and art created by members of the Tacos community.

About the Tacos

The Los Angeli Unlimited Tacos are an online community of fans of the fictional Blaseball team of the same name. We were once a small team in last place, but are now champions with over a thousand members online. Through the entire journey, we’ve been a passionate and often-chaotic presence in the wider Blaseball fandom.

Blaseball itself is a surreal sports simulator, where teams such as the Tacos play a version of baseball that features horrors such as incineration, surprise team swaps, and rogue gods. Around this horror and sports fans have created a community of mutual support and creativity.

While the infinite utopia of Los Angeli does not exist, the real city that inspired it is our home - often literally and always metaphorically. We believe in giving back to the city that inspired us, and the wider areas and communities that make up Southern California. The immigration struggle is one that is especially critical to our region, so we wanted to take a time of celebration use it to do some good for our larger community. We want to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with you all, in a way that gives back..

About Southern California Immigration Project

Southern California Immigration Project (SCIP) was founded in 2015 to address the growing needs of refugees and other displaced persons in Southern California who are seeking asylum in the U.S.

They are dedicated to delivering services to survivors of human rights violations by providing pro bono and low bono legal representation to immigrants.

About that recipe book

Words fail to describe how proud we are of the recipe book, so please have a taste on us!  The Tacos have been hard at work writing these recipes, drawing original art, and doing an incredible layout that’s beautiful and delicious
