Save Clarkston Tithing Granary
Donation protected
The Historic Clarkston Tithing Granary was completed in 1871. The granary has been donated to the Clarkston camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
To preserve and share the granary for future generations we need to move the building to a permanent location where it can be restored and preserved as a community history museum.
Keeping with the legacy of this building, many in the community have already volunteered there time and skills to help save the granary.
We now need your help to raise the funds needed to move and preserve this building.
Our next steps include:
* Secure property to relocate the granary to. (We are working with city and church leaders to find a suitable location)
* Move the building to the permanent location
* Restore and rennovate the granary
* Collect community artifacts and historical items to display in the musuem
The granary is a tangible example of how a community can work together for the common good. Thank you for helping to save this peice of pioneer heritage.
