Terri Jo Expense Fund

Donation protected

I would like to introduce you to Terri Jo Hamm, my sister-in-law, the wife of Jeffrey Scott Hamm, the mother of Ryan and Alissa and grandmother of six.  She also has three brothers and one foster sister, along with their extended families.  Family meant everything to her, especially her grandchildren.

Going against family advice, this tender hearted woman, always willing to give someone a second chance, met her husband while he was incarcerated, thinking he would be better and everything would be fine. As it turned out, the marriage was rocky from the beginning.  From numerous 911 calls for domestic abuse and his mutiple bouts with law enforcement, the marriage of 17 years was coming to an end.

Something has happened that will change this family forever.

Terri Jo was last heard from by her family on January 26, 2015.  She was reported missing to the police by her husband January 31, 2015 when family members went to her home to find out why she wasn't returning phone calls or texts.

During police investigation, her husband was arrested and placed in jail for drug related charges.   Numerous searches were and are being performed by the police, family, friends and community at large to try and locate her.  A press conference was held by the Prosecuting Attorney to ask the public if anyone had  either seen Terri, her husband or their vehicles the week of January 26.

On March 20, 2015, the Prosecuting Attorney went before a Grand Jury and Jeffrey Scott Hamm was indicted on:  two (2) counts of Aggravated Murder; two (2) counts of Murder; one (1) count of Kidnapping; two (2) counts of Aggravated Robbery; one (1) count of Robbery; three (3) counts of Tampering with Evidence; and one (1) count of Gross Abuse of a Corpse.

Needless to say, the family has been distressed that Terri Jo has been missing, and now has to face the reality that she is not coming home.

The road to recovery for the family will be an extensive one.  There will be no welcome home party.   There was neither a will in place nor a life insurance policy.  Instead, the grandchildren will have to be told that their grandmother is no longer alive to enjoy and share her love, attention and devotion.  There will be counseling sessions for the six grandchildren and family members.  There is an empty house with monthly bills still being incurred.  There is a memorial service to be planned.  A probate attorney will need to be hired to settle the affairs of the estate.   And there is the trial ... which has yet to begin.

The police and the community have been absolutely incredible in their support, kind words and efforts to bring her home. Please continue to do this until she is home with her family as so much is yet to be done.

The family is not equipped to handle the current and ongoing expenses to be incurred.  If anyone is able or willing to help, the family would sincerely appreciate any donations.  Thank you for taking the time to read this and please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.  God Bless.
