Tex-Pat Players Hollywood Fringe!

What's a Tex-Pat?

Short for Texpatriate

(N) ˌteksˈpātrēət : a Texan living outside of their native country.

How we got started:

A group of post-grads ready to make some theatre that was fun, fulfilling, and meant something began to meet up. All from Texas. All new to LA. And all needing creative opportunities. So we decided to make some ourself.

Our Project:

We're doing our first Fringe!

"The Hollywood Fringe Festival is an annual, open-access, community-derived event celebrating freedom of expression and collaboration in the performing arts community."

Rooted in the need to reconcile who you've wanted to be and who you've become, our dark comedy looks at how situations handled when you're younger affect your adulthood. A group of friends come back to their hometown after news that a member of their high school bowling team has disappeared. Are any of them responsible for the way her life turned out? Did they play a part in her disappearance? How many strikes do you get in a friendship?

The Fringe Festival can become a wee bit expensive. In between application fees, printing, venue and performance costs, we can't do this on our own. Please give whatever you can.

Thanks and hook 'em!
