GIVE TO THE THE THANKSGIVING/HOLIDAY FUND!
The Thanksgiving/Holiday Fund at The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro was established 30 years ago by the late local restaurateur Ken Conrad and Mary Lacklen. The fund provides holiday meals to area people in need – those who otherwise would not get a meal during the holiday season. Since its inception, the Thanksgiving/Holiday Fund has made possible nearly 100,000 holiday meals!
A recent national survey showed that Guilford County is the No. 1 community in the United States when it comes to people not knowing where or how they will get their next meal. The hunger problem here is very real.
In addition to the amount raised here so far, we have received a $10,000 lead gift from the Greensboro Grasshoppers organization!
Every $5 donated makes possible one holiday meal. Please give generously to this, the Thanksgiving/Holiday Fund. Give thanks all year long … not just at Thanksgiving! Thank you!
