The Tala Family
This morning at 3:40am Israeli time, the city of Beer Sheva was woken up to red alert sirens for the second time since Operation Protective Edge in 2014. This time was the first time a rocket has hit the city since the war and this has touched me personal as it hit a home of a family. It is a family of 3 boys ages 9, 10 and 12 and their mother. They went into the safe room and almost immediately after shutting the door, the rocket hit the house, went through one of their bedrooms and destroyed the first floor. Now the house has potential to collapse and is unstable. Thankfully none of them were injured but they were treated for shock on scene.
For me this is personal because 2 years ago, I volunteered teaching at their school and got very close with them. They are the sweetest boys you'll ever meet. Everyday I would walk into the school and they would run up and hug me.
I'm raising this money to help them receive things that they need on a day-to-day basis and to help them get back on their feet. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated.
