About Us

The LADIES Group is a nonprofit organization (501c3 pending) that provides financial education, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and workforce development training services for women. Our mission is to increase the financial literacy and economic independence of female heads of households nationwide.

The LADIES Group began as a Facebook group  for women to gain control of their economic station by becoming financially literate, savvy savers and strategic investors. The idea of the group was to help remove monetary burdens through the promotion of economic self-sufficiency.

L.A.D.I.E.S. is an acronym for Learning About Debt, Investments, and Economic Sustainability. The group is the brainchild of Founder Niquenya Fulbright who is the President and CEO of Building Bridges Chicago LLC, a small business consulting, executive coaching, and corporate training firm specializing in transforming dreamers into successful entrepreneurs.

The LADIES Group was started out of Coach Niquenya's own desire to regain control over her finances. A product of a single parent home, Coach Niquenya realized that she was repeating bad financial habits in her own life and was determined to stop the downward spiral of bad credit and poor money management before it could trickle down to her own children. No stranger to personal and professional development, Coach Niquenya realized that the best way to get her finances in order was to begin researching and teaching others.

It was the Founder's original goal to post a tip and/or a resource every day to get women started on the path to financial freedom.  The LADIES Group has grown tremendously over the last four years and is now positioned to become a leader in fostering financial freedom among women all over the world. Programs include:

* Single Parent Support Services

Members also participate in special interest groups like the Extreme Couponer's Club, Innovative Investments Club, and Teenpreneurs.  Membership is open to women of all ages located anywhere in the world.

Why women?  

We strongly believe that women are the catalyst for change in the world. They are the mothers, nurturers, lovers, mediators, planners, and dreamers. Women birth and raise the children and are wise counsel to their significant others.

In these hard economic times, now more than ever, women need a place to develop and learn how to generate sustainable wealth. By focusing on the woman, we aim to transform households into financially savvy contributors to society.  Our vision is to create a world in which poverty lines diminish.

Currently The LADIES Group is only operational as a Facebook group with periodic networking and learning events offered to the group.  To realize our full potential as a charitable and educational cause, we have the following immediate needs to meet our goals:

* $15 Illinois Charitable Cause Registration
* $2000 Nonprofit Consulting Fees
* $2000 Attorney Fees
* $2500 Marketing Fees
* $5000 Administrative Assistant
* $500 Incidentals

Your contributions will help the over 330 current members of The LADIES Group start on the path toward realizing economic freedom.
