Support a Global STEM Nonprofit!

Hi! We are The Scientific Teen, a STEM media organization run by over 75 students ages 13-19 from over 20 countries. As creative, ambitious, and driven students from across the world, we believe that by educating younger generations in the sciences today, we can solve global problems tomorrow. Our website contains engaging scientific knowledge in media ranging from articles to videos to podcasts!

We started in July 2018, with most of us in high school and with a dream to increase STEM education. Since then, we have learned to be powerful STEM communicators, expanding to new forms of media and moving onward to apply for nonprofit status in the United States in just two years.

One of the most inspiring things about working at The Scientific Teen is knowing that we are from many different corners of the world - some of us are exactly half-way across the world from each other! However, despite all cultural, ethnical, language, and/or national differences, we are united by a common love for STEM and education.

We presented our poster at the Global STEM Alliance Summit of the New York Academy of Sciences in 2019, which is an annual three-day conference held at the World Trade Center in New York City, where STEM professionals and students from around the world gather to discuss and explore the latest breakthroughs in STEM. Gathered at the summit were professionals from NASA, the United Nations, Johnson and Johnson, and Columbia University, among others. Here are some pictures of when three members of our leadership board presented at the summit (we came from Arizona, New York, and Canada)!

Recently, we received a nonprofit status from the state of New York and are working harder than ever to communicate STEM. Our journey was featured in the Mountain Ridge High School Newspaper , in the Daily Independent  in Glendale, AZ, and on Arizona State University's social media  and news pages (under March 2021)!

The Scientific Teen is forging the path of international collaboration and inspiring youth today to contribute to STEM education. We welcome teens from around the world to join our team, anytime!

But we need your help!

In order to keep doing our work, we need funds to pay for these costs:

1) Cost of incorporation into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States.
2) Paying for the monthly subscription of our website (The Scientific Teen Website).
3) Professional and Efficient Financial Bookkeeping Software as we transition into our nonprofit status under the state of New York.
4) Printing of our hardcopy magazines, which we plan to provide to schools and other educational institutions for a low, if not free, cost.
5) Running community programs in multiple countries.
6) Marketing, team management softwares, and the tools we need to create quality content for everyone (design tools, web development software, podcast tools, and video series camera/software).

Your Impact

Any contribution you make will go directly to our project. No amount of donation is too small! We appreciate every cent - we mean it. We appreciate any and all help to help our dream of increasing STEM education throughout the world.

Other ways you can help!

1) Spread the word! Use this link to share on social media and email: https://gofund.me/f62a8a23
2) Read articles on our website! Our newsletter subscription and all print editions are available online for FREE. If you come out of our website learning something new and interesting, we will have gained something valuable and would have helped give an aspiring teenage STEM communicator a voice.
3) Expert advice! We are always happy to gain feedback and work with others to make The Scientific Teen better!
4)If you are or know anyone who is a teenager, feel free to send us (or ask them to send us) an article! We’d be happy to review it and put it up on our website and print edition!
