Help Cadence Beat Heart & Liver Failure

 Cadence is critically ill with incurable congenital heart defects and liver failure. Though she is not ready to be listed for a double-organ transplant, it is something we fear in the future. She was also mauled by a dog that ran loose in the neighborhood last year, almost killing her. She suffers greatly from anxiety and PTSD from the incident. Thankfully, her beautiful service dog, a rescued Siberian Husky, Echo, is by her side. Echo requires ongoing costly training in order to support Cadence's growing physical and psychological needs. Because Cadence is constantly sick and/or at doctor's appointments and in the hospital, we've decided to home school her. Cadence's dad is a teacher and football/golf coach at Chaparral High School. Last year, Cadence was diagnosed with cirrhosis of her liver. It is beginning to fail. She has a lot of pain every day but tries really hard to keep smiling. She takes medication every day, three times a day and gives herself a shot every day.  During her first few years of life, she lived in the hospital having surgeries and treatment. At the same time, her brother and mother were having heart surgeries. They lost their house, their savings, their retirement savings, and their car. Cadence's treatment costs a great deal of money even with insurance.  Cadence volunteers every week at an animal shelter.  She volunteers for non-profit organizations, sharing her story. She rescues reptiles. She hosts meet n greet lectures to introduce other kids to reptiles (snakes, lizards, dragons, hermit crabs, spiders). She teaches others how to make sushi. She LOVES to skateboard and wants to go professional. She works super hard even on her sickest days. She loves to surf (though it's hard for her because of her lung capacity.) She loves to dance - hip hop is her favorite. She wants to act. She wants to someday attend the University of Hawaii. She really loves Bindi Irwin and hopes to meet her one day.
