ThumbUp Foundation Start Up Costs

ThumbUp Foundation is a California non-profit foundation dedicated to helping families, children and youth affected by the condition of Amniotic Band Syndrome.  ABS affects 1 in every 1200 births in America alone.  

The founder of ThumbUp Foundation is Darin Sargent, who in 1969 was born missing his left arm from the elbow down as a result of Amniotic Band Syndrome.  Darin is a motivational speaker and author who has spoken to over 1,000,000 students about overcoming their differences and possessing an attitude of success.

ThumbUp Foundation is designed to support, mentor and assist those families with children born with a disability caused by ABS.  Along with supporting families, TUF also is working to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people that are dealing with their disabilities by providing mentoring opportunities as well as scholarships and future ThumbUp Foundation Centers.  These TUF Centers will be a place where those with disabilities, resulting from a birth condition caused by ABS, will be:

-Trained in life skills 
-Mentored by those who have dealt with various   disabilities in their own life
-Able to participate in athletic programs designed to help them develop a winning attitude
-Instructed in what it takes to be an overcomer in life.

ThumbUp Foundation is currently seeking start up funds to develop and establish its presence on the web as well as documentation to help others connect to this wonderful organization.  It is the goal of TUF to help thousands that deal with disabilities caused by ABS.  TUF will do this by partnering with organizations, hospitals and youth organizations geared to making a difference.  

The start up costs needed include:

a) Website development and maintenance

b) Promotional material geared toward raising awareness and funds necessary to fully form this needed foundation

c) Social Media/Print campaign to enlist others interested in helping ThumbUp Foundation fulfill its purpose.

d) Video production describing the purpose and function of TUF
