Our Medical Fund for Clinical Trial

Donation protected
In 2013, Jonathan was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer at only the age of 27. The news was devastating and hard to believe. He has a genetic mutation, ALK+. Because of this, new, cutting edge medication has been available to us and kept his cancer manageable. We recently learned that the cancer has progressed and we need to enroll in a clinical trial. This will mean traveling to the location, as well as other medical costs that we simply cannot cover financially.

Many friends and family have asked us what they can do. We have received help along the way, but have held off on doing any crowdfunding or organized fundraiser to cover medical expenses. I feel that now is the time we need the most help.

Living with cancer in your 20s is difficult. We do it because we have to and we get through it because we love each other so much. Simply paying bills, going back to school, and providing for our little family is challenging. The stress of the clinical trial will be an additional struggle, so for those of you who have asked what you can do to help us through this most difficult time - this is honestly it. Just a little adds up and will make a difference.

Thank you all so much. We are grateful and sincerely appreciate those who have stood by our side through thick and thin.

Love,
Robyn and Jonathan Hicks
