TODD'S STORY
Help Save a Firefighter’s Family Home
Todd has given so much to the community; now he needs our help.
While volunteering in North Carolina in the fall of 2024 with AFRS.US to locate missing persons after the hurricane, Todd contracted Lyme disease. This diagnosis has left him unable to work with brain damage, central nervous system damage, and other complications. He and his family need your love and support during this difficult time.
We’re raising funds to help Todd cover urgent expenses in addition to saving his home.
This is our chance to step up for someone who has always stepped up for others.

What began as an act of compassion ended with a diagnosis of Lyme disease, permanently affecting his health and ability to work.
Why Todd Needs Your Love
Todd's condition is life altering and has prevented him from serving in the FIRE/EMS service as well as his primary occupation of IT development and aerospace unmanned aircraft.
This is a man who gave his time, his health, and his energy to help others—even in the face of personal risk. And now, he's at risk of losing everything.

TODD'S HISTORY IN THE COMMUNITY
In addition to fire/ems and public safety robotic operations, Todd worked a traditional Monday-Friday job and always used his resources to support others in his community and beyond.
Below are some of the things Todd has done for his community over the past decade or two.
Cincinnati Fire Museum
Todd served on the board and played an active role in various community events such as Chili Fest and 9/11 memorials.
Northern Kentucky Boys Home (Orphanage)
Todd and other bikers would deliver Christmas gifts to the kids at the orphanage. It may have been freezing cold, but the warmth of these amazing bikers made it worth it.
SSG. Matt Maupin
Todd was honored to organize the SSG. Matt Maupin memorial ride for about 5 years. Later becoming the President of the Yellow Ribbon Support Center before moving north and settling down with his family.
Homeless Outreach
Todd would often visit the homeless living under bridges in downtown Cincinnati. Taking time to visit with others and remind them that they are valued.
Here Todd is delivering an electric wheelchair to Mark a man who really needed mobility to get around.
This chair was donated by one of Todd's friends from North Carolina - It needed some repairs, new batteries, and of course, a custom paint job for Mark.
Todd's compassion for others motivated like minded people to donate parts and materials to refurbish the electric wheelchair.
Not long after this delivery, Todd advocated for Mark with local social workers and regional nursing homes. Getting Mark off the streets and into a warm care facility so he didn't have to suffer through another harsh winter.
GRINCH & EASTER BUNNY
Todd has served as Grinch and the Easter Bunny for various organizations or fire departments for many years. Due to his Lyme disease and inability to walk without pain - He donated his Grinch and Easter Bunny costumes to a local fire department so they could carry on the tradition.

FAMILY
Todd and Maria are a blended family with 6 amazing young folks in our lives. :)
Since the internet can be a strange place - We are not posting all the kids or current pictures. But here are some memorable ones for us:
Our Youngest
In addition to Todd being in Fire & EMS, the youngest girl followed in his footsteps and has been working in fire and ems for several years now. We believe the youngest boy will also end up in public safety.
(we used his Firefighter bicycle helmet to go with the jacket Todd custom-made for him)
The Lovely Wife
They make a cute pair.
OTHER PHOTOS:
Just some random memorable photos from when life was normal.
Nap time with the youngest.

Todd's son was being cured of epilepsy.

She still married him after this photo.
Rain Rain Go Away
After we tied the knot, we rode the motorcycle through the pouring rain to our new home for the reception of friends and family.
It should be noted that we "courted" before getting married - So this would be the first night our whole new family slept under the same roof.
Memories like this are why we must save our home.
The Lemonade Girls
After all my years of volunteering and helping others - What an honor it was to meet two young people raising money to donate to charity!
What is even cooler - Their family ended up becoming our neighbors about three houses away.
In life, it's all about giving back to others.
Training
It's always good to train. Learning and practicing should never stop.
Family - Always Close
Todd spent a great deal of time away from home helping others in the community. When he repainted this "craigslist special" motorcycle, he wanted to put the hand prints of the kids into the paint job.
When we first saw this motorcycle, most of the parts were in a cardboard box. He worked on that thing for a solid month to get it ready to lead the SSG. Matt Maupin memorial ride.
Father and Son Time
Todd is always outgoing to bring joy to others. He has passed down that trait to his youngest.
He’s just not right sometimes
While most normal people would be driving away, guess what direction he is headed?

If you made it this far - We thank you for wanting to learn more about our family, Todd's love for others, and we are hopeful that you and your family learn more about the devastation Lyme disease can bring.
Love often! Life is fragile.
