Send Cara to TASH!

I'm Cara, also known as That Crazy Crippled Chick. I'm a disabled activist and blogger currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Disability Studies at the CUNY School of Professional Studies. I've been accepted to present at the TASH conference in Washington DC this coming December, but I need your help to get there!
What is TASH?
From the TASH website: "TASH is an international leader in disability advocacy. Founded in 1975, TASH advocates for human rights and inclusion for people with significant disabilities and support needs – those most vulnerable to segregation, abuse, neglect and institutionalization. TASH works to advance inclusive communities through advocacy, research, professional development, policy, and information and resources for parents, families and self-advocates."
What will the money be used for?
To cut down on costs, I will be taking a bus service like Bolt or MegaBus from NY to DC. Thus, the costs are as follows:
$507 for hotel for three nights ($169 a night)
$206 for conference registration
$35 for bus travel to and from DC
All remaining money will be used to offset GoFundMe's costs as well as for spending money while in DC.
Last spring, I conducted a highly successful crowdfunding campaign to get me to the Society For Disability Studies conference. With the help of some extremely generous donors, I raised my goal within 24 hours and had the time of my life at the conference. Not only did I have the experience of presenting three times, once in front of three of my CUNY professors that I highly respect, but I made personal and professional connections that will last me for life. I'm hoping TASH will be much the same, but I can't get there without your help.
Every little bit helps - whether a dollar, twenty, or a hundred. And please, even if you can't donate, spread the word! Together, we can make TASH happen!
