My Mission Trip to an Orphanage in Kenya

Hi everyone, many of you know me but for those of you who don't..my name is Treena and I have a strong desire to do mission work. I love helping others, especially children and those who can't help themselves.
Recently I've been blessed with the opportunity to travel to Kenya and help the organization "Crying Children of Africa" at their newly established orphanage and this trip has been slowly but surely turning into the opportunity of a lifetime for me. I will be leaving end of May 2013 and returning late June 2013.
I am really looking forward, God willing, to going on this mission trip to Kenya to help the orphans in many different ways. I have always felt led by the Lord to go on a Mission Trip over seas, but I have never had the opportunity until now.
While in Kenya I will be working at the Riziki Children's Home with several orphans teaching them life skills (gardening, helping teach them ways to provide for themselves with animals, helping with school work, etc...). I will also be able to show them how much they are loved and cared for not only by me but especially the Lord Jesus Christ! I will also be photographing the orphanage, the orphans, the volunteers, and the facilities while I'm there in hopes that the organization will be able to use the updated photographs to better promote themselves in the future, as well as for documentation purposes. This is a life experience that I truly look forward to and something I've felt destined for most of my life.
To add even more adventure to the trip, I'll be traveling with my good friend Ruth who is familiar with the area and has family there as well....one more reason I feel this opportunity to be a perfectly timed blessing. Our tickets actually worked out to allow us a few days to travel parts of Europe on our way to Kenya, which will be a true blessing as well.
That all being said, the biggest stepping stone in making this trip feasible has been the financing. I'll be gone for almost 30 days, and the trips total will cost well over $4000.00. I'm seeking to raise $2850 to help cover the cost of my plane ticket, immunizations, Visa, and other incidentals. I will be covering everything in excess of $2850. At this point I am looking for any help you may be willing to give, whether that be through prayer, well wishes, or a monetary donation to help with my traveling expenses. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to read this!
