Turban Day 2017 in Times Square
Donation protected
The purpose of the event is to promote and educate about the Sikh religion and Identity. In 2016, the Turban Day was held for the first time in Times Square, NYC. More than 3,000 turbans were tied in an effort to expand awareness about the Sikh turban and culture. The Turban is a crown of each Sikh which represents pride and valor. Turban Day provides an opportunity for those that do not wear a turban to experience a Turban and learn about its significance first hand.
This year we will be hosting the Turban Day on April 15th with a target to tie 5,000 Turbans!
Here is a breakdown of costs:
NYC Permit: $11,500
Times Sq Alliance Permit: $4,500
Sound Permit: $100
Security undercover: $800
