Seth's Lasik Fund for School
Hi Everyone!
My name is Seth Santoro, actor in adult films, and husband to Billy Santoro. I come to you for help!
Currently my vision is abysmal. If you had a twelve inch dick and a tattoo above it, I wouldn't be able to read it. The horror!
I used to wish that I could have cool glasses when I was younger. And thanks to all the facials where a stray spurt of cum has landed in my eye, I've finally gotten my wish! Now my eyesight is terrible!
I'm returning to University this fall term, and I think it would help me imensely if I had a fresh set of eyes so that I can see the board! It's not that I don't love how I look in my glasses or contact lenses, it's just inconvenient to have them. I think my professor would want to stare directly into my beautiful hazel eyes as we negotiate my grades...as I am laying on his desk with my legs in the air. I can't have my glasses falling off my face, and making squinty eyes as I struggle to unzip his pants. That's just silly.
All joking aside, I think the lasik procedure would improve my life immensely. I am physically active and I have a hard time keeping my glasses on my face as well as keeping them from breaking. Contacts are all good and well, but they're costly and my eyes don't always tolerate them. Who doesn't enjoy seeing all that life has to offer with clear unimpeded vision! I want that. Now seems to be the perfect time since I will be going back to school to finish my nursing degree.
I visited a clinic in the DC area in order to obtain all the necessary information about the procedure as well as cost estimates. I underwent a series of tests to determine the state of my eyes including vision accuracy, if my eyes produce enough tears and the quality of my tears, and there was even a portion where a probe was used to prod my eyeballs. I was so nervous about someone poking my eye that I forgot to ask why the technician even did it. After the general tests, the OD recommended that the best procedure for me would be the Custom Wavelight IntraLase procedure. As it was explalined to me it is an all laser procedure that is generated to the specifics of my eyes. A laser is used to make an incision of the corneal epithelium creating a flap on my eye, which is then lifted. A laser is then used to reshape my cornea by removing thin layers. In my case I have myopia, which means that I am nearsighted. I can only see things if they are very close, about 6-12 inches. The front and center surface of my eye (in the corneal region) is too curved. Light focuses in front of my retina, causing blurred vision. This procedure will reshape my cornea and light will focus on my retina so that images are no longer blurry! It all sounds very simplified here but there was a lot of research and work that went into creating such a procedure. It's quite impressive.
Of course the costs was my biggest concern. I was given an invoice esitmate that lists the procedure as $2149 per eye. The rest of the cost goes to pre and post op eye care in the form of eye drops, gels, and contact bandages. They're listed on the prescription as Gatifloxacin Ophthalmic Solution, PRED FORTE 1% Opthalmic Suspension, etc. Procedure, Prescriptions, Facility/Technician Fees, altogether make for a costly fix.
I understand it's a pricey procedure. The reason I'm creating this GoFundMe is because I can't do it alone. I am already signed up for the Credit Care card in order to finance the procedure if need be, or if all goes well to help cover whatever funds that aren't raised. I am extremely thankful to those who have supported my husband and I thus far. This is a lofty wish of mine, and I hope that we can come together to acheive it!
