A Good Sense of 'Tumor' Web Series
Donation protected
In September of 2014 I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in the center of my skull, touching the base of my brainstem. This put my plans on entering the Television field on hold. In January I underwent two brain surgeries and I am currently in recovery, and hoping that I am both tumor and cancer free. What has seen me through everything is the ability to have a good sense of humor, and as such, I wanted to put that humor into a project. "Idle hands are the Devil's playthings" and all that. So rather than allowing this situation to totally derail my dreams of becoming a screenwriter, I began crafting an autobiographical web-series about my struggles. It is titled "A Good Sense of 'Tumor'".
I then submitted my plan to the radio program Studio 360, hosted by Kurt Anderson on WNYC. They accepted me as one of their "Creative New Years Resolutionists" and will be interviewing me throughout 2015 to help me get out the word. You can listen to the interviews and read my blogs on their site .
With your help, I hope to receive the funds necessary to begin filming the first few episodes and then, who knows. If my health permits it, I plan to produce a ten episode season for free distribution online.
I thank you in advance for your consideration.
