Syd Goes to Europe
Donation protected
My name is Sydnie, and I’m in the band program at my school. I was recently invited, well nominated, to go to Europe as a Washington state Ambassador of Music in the summer of 2016. I was nominated for my leadership skills, musicianship, and my character as a person. Honestly, I am ecstatic that I was nominated, and to go to Europe would be amazing. I have been in the band program for six, going on seven, years now. I’ve played Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone, and played around on some other instruments. I am also in the Marching Band (something I take a lot of pride in).
I’m trying to raise money because it is a lot of money to raise on my own, and I’ve been told this might be a great way to do it. I’ve been told going to Europe is a once in a life time deal, that I should do it no matter what, and the only way for me to do it is with some help. The trip to Europe consists of sixteen days, and I think seven countries. Spanning from England to Italy, ending in Germany. There is even college credit available, which is awesome!
Our goal on Gofundme.com is actually a little higher than we first stated, that is because we have to account for more than just the initial cost. Some of those being; passport, shipping my instrument, paying for my uniform, the band camp before, increase in cost for choosing the longest payment plan, and some other small things.
The Payment Schedule we plan to follow is this…
$600.00 on or before June 15, 2015
$400.00 on or before November 15, 2015
$1100.00 on or before February 1, 2016
Balance paid in full on or before April 1, 2016
