Upadhyaya Family Expenses

On Wednesday, March 8, 2017 the Upadhyaya family of Hoffman Estates, Illinois was devastated to discover their beautiful 19-year old daughter and sister Ruth had tragically and unexpectedly taken her own life, while away at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
Ruth was a 2016 graduate of Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois. Her family and friends, including mom Jill, sister Julie, and dad Raj are shocked and overwhelmed with this unimaginable loss.
Ruth's family and friends are heartbroken beyond words. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, kindness, and courage. She always took the extra step to make everyone feel welcome with her beautiful smile and servant's heart. She will be deeply, deeply missed.
The family welcomes you to join them at Ruth's visitation and memorial service:
Visitation: Monday, March 13, 2017 - 5 to 7 pm at First United Methodist Church of Palatine, 123 N. Plum Grove Rd. in Palatine.
Visitation: Tuesday, March 14, 2017 - 9 to 10 am at the church.
Memorial Service: Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 10 am at the church.
The family faces critical financial needs, including the unexpected expenses for Ruth's final arrangements as well as numerous previous, ongoing family medical expenses. Dad Raj is permanently disabled and mom Jill is a caregiver for him, as well as both of her parents.
Ruth was named after Ruth in the Bible. This fitting verse was underlined in her Bible:
"But Ruth answered, 'Don't ask me to leave you! Let me go with you. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and that is where I will be buried. May the Lord's worst punishment come upon me if I let anything but death separate me from you.' " Ruth 1: 16-17
But, as Christ followers, the family knows this separation caused by death is temporary and they will be reunited with Ruth one day. Until then, the pain is real and moving forward without her will be difficult. But their faith will sustain them. They grieve with hope.
One anonymous donor has already stepped forward and the family is extremely grateful. Friends are setting up this page as a means to raise additional support for the family during this critical and difficult period of their lives. Any amount is very much appreciated.
Thank you for being part of the Upadhyaya's community of support. If you are a praying person, the family is extremely grateful for your prayers. Hug your loved ones today.
