Help Bun Bun get better
This is Bun Bun.
Bun Bun had a rough start in life. He was abandoned in a parking lot on the side of the road. He was left in his cage with what little belongings he had. On the outside of his cage hung a sign that said "Free to a good home". Thankfully he was picked up by a kind hearted person who then took him to the wildlife rehabilitation center I volunteer at. Since we do not keep domestic animals at the facility someone had to take him home. And without hesitation I was the one to do so.
Bun Bun is the sweetest rabbit I have ever met. He runs up to everyone he meets. He comes up to my face when I lay on the ground and kisses my nose. He loves head rubs and will ask for pets from anyone. He brings me and everyone he meets such happiness.
Unfortunetly Bun Bun has devloped gastrointestinal stasis. This is the slowing down of the intestine. Which means he is not digesting his food. His stomach is enlarged. He is not pooping or eating. And without proper care this can be fatal.
Currently he is on a series of medications. I am syringe feeding him and rubbing his stomach in hopes of getting things moving along. But he may require more care at a cost I can not afford. One night alone in the hopital costs anywhere from $800-$1,000. If I had this money I would wihtout a doubt have him at the hopital getting all the hands on care he needs.
His first vet bill was $400. He needs another xray which costs $100. As you can see it adds up very quickly.
I just want to see him happy and healthy and eating again. I want him to run around with excitment when I enter the room. I want him to be okay. I can't imagine life without him.
I'm sure many of you can understand how imporant our animal companions can be to us. Any kind of donation matters so much and would be greatly appreciated. Even if you can't donate sharing helps as well.
Thank you so much.
