These two "super teachers" are taking on the "superhero" task of teaching character to 3rd and 4th grade students. After recently attending a workshop with an autism focus, we realized that the curriculum shared was actually perfect for all students on so many different levels (not to mention it fit our superhero theme).
We would use this money to purchase the Superflex series and a set of What To Do When strategy books for both our classrooms. The Superflex series gives kids strategies to defeat everyday evils that they may experience in or out of the classroom. This might include staying on task, dealing with overreacting, having empathy, and dealing with worry.
This will be the perfect addition to our character morning meetings that both of us conduct daily. Research shows that top hiring companies are searching for candidates that can successfully cooperate with others in a social setting.
