Let's Go Fund Ourselves, Alaska!

Unless the Alaska Legislature miraculously reaches an agreement -- like a few years ago when everyone reached across the aisle to officially replace Groundhog Day as Marmot Day -- the state government will run out of money and shut down this coming July 1.
Without a new budget, still $3 billion shy of being balanced, some 15,000 state employees will be laid off. The rest of us will lose valuable Alaska state services, like the Governor's annual free hotdog cookout or tagging your vehicle with indecipherable vanity license plates.
Legislature's message to Alaskans is clear: go fund yoursef!
That's right, Alaska. When life hands you a $3 billion budgetary shortfall, you make $3-billion-budgetary- shortfall-ade… And then you sell it for like ten grand a cup.
Bottom line, we need $3 billion, and quick! There's only one way to raise that kind of cash (legally). No, not by accessing the state's $10 billion constitutional budgetary reserve, whose entire purpose, as I understand it, is to access in situations like these. I mean through crowdsourcing.
Come on, Alaska: Let's Go Fund Ourselves.
Take action, by which I mean supplying an email address, a nine-character alphanumeric password and a valid credit number, then hitting "accept."
Consider it your duty as an Alaskan, like serving every meal with bear claw salad tongs.
Whatever we raise, we'll present our contributions in an oversized novelty check to Gov. Bill Walker, to be used for funding every facet of state government EXCEPT anything having to do with the Legistlature. You guys can go fund yourselves!
