Austin McNew's Van Fund
(Taken from a post made by Sarah Ann Creech-Schuler )
Austin is a wonderful 17 year old young man who has a very promising future. Line backer on his high school football team, very high GPA and just an overall wonderful kid who is well thought of in the community. His Mother is a teacher, Father a high school football coach and his younger brother who was just named student of the month. Austin was involved in a sledding accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. It was a very tragic accident.
Not only has our tiny town come out to support Austin but so has all the little communities around us. Rival teams have collected donations for the McNew family and are even wearing t-shirts with Austin 's school colors green and gold and his football number #55.
It's been really heartwarming to be apart of this and see people come together to support one of their own. @AntonioBrown (Austin 's favorite football player ) even called him! As hard as everyone has worked to raise money for Austin he has needs that are very difficult to fill.
One of those needs is a van with a lift that will accommodate a big kid like Austin.
Please donate here. Funds managed through the Hagerstown Optimist Club, Hagerstown, IN. 100% of Proceeds will go to the family. Anything will help this young man and family in their time of need.
