Howdy.
Im Gordon Yeager and I created a Bike Shop/Brand 6 years ago called Velo Hangar. I started working on bikes in my garage after leaving a local shop. If I couldn't work for them I was going to work for myself.. That was my mantra. Working from home was great! I could make my own hours, set my own schedule.. After awhile I realized I need a little something more. I shared some space in Solana Beach. That space definitely grew the business but the fit just wasn't right. So I moved the business back to the garage and hit the ground running. The brand is growing stronger and stronger! What I'm missing now is that community part. The social interaction. I miss seeing people's faces. I miss enjoying a beverage with my friends/clients. What I also miss is VH merch sales. I have an online store which performs well but, it's not the same...
What I'm planning to create is a social spot, A spot where I can sell my VH branded mercahndise but most importantly create a place for all of us to gather, hang out, socialize. That's why I'm planning to build Velo Hangar SC. It's part Social, part Service, it's all You. Think patio, coffee, chill. Luckily I'll be sharing space with a top notch locally owned coffee roaster on the premise. My space will be own though. Solar powered, simple. I need help with the construction. The FF&E's, the shell itself..
I will be starting construction in August of 2016. The spot has been secured.
Velo Hangar is my passion. I've started it from scratch and when I say scratch I mean $500 in my bank account. It's my baby if you will. More importantly though all of you have helped me build it into what it is now and I need your help to take to the next level. I'll be keeping the service side in my hidden lair at home but this will be your "space". I miss you guys and gals.
