Vets Helping Vets HQ is needing donations to help with relocating to a permanent location. We are currently located at the American Legion Post 10, 1215 Pacific Blvd. SE Albany, OR. The office is not large enough to conduct normal business. We are looking for a location that we can use to our full potential to help our Veterans. Please help in anyway you can. All donations are tax deductible.
Our Mission: “We are here to help our Veterans navigate through hard times and receive the benefits they deserve.”
We never turn a Veteran away who is willing to do their part in helping themselves. “It’s not a Hand Out, it’s a Hand Up!”
What We Do: Vets helping Vets HQ train volunteers to become advocates by teaching them to assist Veterans in receiving their benefits that may be available to them.
VHVHQ help Veterans in person or via phone or internet from all around the world that served in the U.S. Military by preparing them to meet their VSO (Veteran Service Officer) to file their claim/s.
VHVHQ assist Veterans and their families during financial emergencies.
VHVHQ organize the memorial services for our fallen comrades to help support the family.
VHVHQ strive to fulfill our Veterans’ needs holding the idea that no project is too small or too large.
Success Examples: VHVHQ provided assistance for my husband and myself during his lower leg amputation. This life changing surgery gave us the needed intervention of caring support and gently guided us through this unfortunate yet necessary surgery. VHVHQ assisted with the special needs required by an amputee which will help to make our home more ADA accessible so we can manage our day to day lives without the many barriers that arise when a limb is lost.
