The Santos Family

I am creating this donation page to support the wonderful Santos family. The Santos children have been hard-working, loving, and incredibly kind members of our Springhill Lake Elementary School community. The Santos parents are active members of their students' lives, always making sure they are cared for, prepared for school, and most importantly, well-loved. Words cannot express how much I adore this family.

Sadly, over Memorial Day weekend, the Santos family endured a terrible tragedy. After colliding with a turning car, a motorcycle was thrown into the three children and their father, who were on the sidewalk. First grader, Alejandro, did not survive. Fourth grader, Leonardo, is in critical condition. Middle school student, Daira, has a broken leg. You can read the details of this heartbreaking accident here:

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Daira when she attended Springhill Lake Elementary. To say she is a model student does not even begin to express how amazing Daira is. Daira is one of the most loving, caring, and hard-working students I have ever had. She always put others' needs before her own, including those of her younger brothers. Even though Daira is now in middle school, our bond has not been broken. I could go on and on, but simply put, my heart aches for Daira and the Santos family during this difficult time. In speaking with her brothers' teachers, they also shared that the Santos boys are as amazing as their sister. 

This donation page is to help the family pay for 7 year old Alejandro's funeral in addition to Leonardo and Daira's medical expenses. While our goal is $15,000, I know any amount will be helpful, and it would be wonderful to surpass this goal!

All money raised will go directly to the family.
