BUT GOD
Brandon Rawls and 4 friends were in Florida celebrating the up coming marriage of his best friend, Caleb Redding. Brandon , newly married himself, planned a fishing and swimming weekend for the bachelor party in Florida the last weekend of May. The five guys were swimming in the ocean and got caught in a powerful undercurrent and strong, huge waves. The fight for their lives lasted for, what seemed like, hours. All made it out safely except for Brandon, who was literally pulled out of the water, nearly dead. He was admitted into ICU at a hospital in FL where he remains in critical condition. His mom, Christy writes:
"The mighty hand of God was heavily on them all!!! We almost lost all 5 of them. The doctor told me that he fully thought he was going to have to make a very different phone call to his family to say Brandon had passed when he came in last night. Just being able to hug his neck is amazing to me right now. To hug them all is amazing to me.
Today could have been a very different day with a very different outcome. But God. BUT GOD in His goodness has more for all of them to do on this earth and we're all blessed to have them here."
Brandon remains in ICU in critical condition; and, as you can imagine, medical bills-- especially ICU medical bills -- are mounting. The friends of the Rawls family have set up this website in response to so many who are asking how they can help the family. Your donations and prayer support is so appreciated.
Please continue to pray for Brandon's healing to be swift, specifically for clear lungs, alleviation of fever, nausea, headaches and coughing fits.
Please continue to pray for strength and peace for Brandon's wife, Morgan, his sisters, his mom, dad and the rest of the family.
Please join the family in thanking God for each person who had a part in saving Brandon. All of these friends are alive right now. Because of God. His glory. All His.
