Waltrip Ram Band Inaugural Celebration

As of today, January 14, 2013, The Waltrip High School band has reached its goal through donations via go fund me and fundraising. We would like to thank each of you that have donated to make this dream come true for our students!

The S.P. Waltrip Senior High School Band has been invited to perform at several venues during the Presidential Inaugural Celebration in Washington, D.C., in January 2013. The Band has also been selected as a candidate to be the band program representing the State of Texas in the Inaugural Parade, which is truly a great honor and a once in a lifetime opportunity for these hardworking, high-achieving students.

In an effort to raise money for the trip, the Ram Band students have held several fundraisers in between competitions, daily practice, and weekly football game performances including car washes, a rummage sale, and the annual Ram Band barbeque dinner and auction. Band members and parents are also appealing to corporate sponsors, alumni and community businesses for support. The balance of funds needed still stands near $75,000.00 "“ and this amount must be raised by early January 2013.
