Support Warren’s Mongol Derby adventure for Cool Earth

I have set out for another big adventure, this time competing in the 'Worlds longest & toughest horse race' - The 2017 Mongol Derby, 1000km's across the Mongolian Steepe with 34 competitors from across the globe, changing horses every 40km and staying with local herders. Crazy enough you think? That's what I thought but hey.... you know my perception on challenge!!

I am incredibly grateful to Maxwin, my major supporter and backup in Asia, and Ariat who have kindly donated most of my apparel. I need a little more to get me across the line - hopefully first! Hoping my supportive friend network will be able to assist in raising some more dollars for the essentials and for the charity the race is supporting. 

 The essentials mainly add up to;  Insurance!  - horse insurance for the local hearders, my medical insurance (which has risen dramatically after two people were airlifted off the Steepe last year ) & entry fee insurance. Also, it is some trek to get to the starting line alone into the middle of Mongolia.

To stand a chance of finishing riders must balance survival skills and horsemanship. They must endure the elements, semi-wild horses as well as unfamiliar food and terrain. In addition to this truly challenging all of my skills, the venture is also in aid of a fantastic cause.

Money raised from this event will go to Cool Earth. Half the world’s rainforest has been lost over the past 40 years. Cool Earth is the charity that works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction. Their unique model of aligning the rainforests with the people best placed to protect it is saving rainforests in three continents (Peru, Democratic Republic of Congo, Oceania).
