Wash Away No More

Tax deductible
What would you do if you put your hopes and dreams, your life savings, into a piece of property at the beach for business, relaxation, retirement, family gatherings and it all began to erode, to wash away, day by day, year by year?
The people, the community, of Grayland, Washington did just that and they are losing their hopes and dreams one house at a time! Dozens of homes have washed away because of Dams built on the Columbia River, dredging of shipping channels in Grays Harbor, along with climate change that has changed sediment deposits at North Cove, Westport and Shoalwater Bay.
The federal and state governments are not prepared to help the people and community of Grayland save their property. The government is, however, prepared to save highway 105 that runs through town that is washing away. They are putting rock and gravel in place to save highway 105 yet they say the homes are not saveable by shoring up the beach with similar burms.
This charity campaign by North Willapa Harbor Grange will help pay for the rock and work needed to shore up North Cove, Washington or as it is otherwise commonly known as, "Wash Away Beach".
The community needs your help and donations will go to buy rock that will help keep the beach from continued erosion and save the dreams and hopes of this desperate community. In El Nino years the surf has been washing away the beach at the rate of 100 to 150 feet per year.
The sooner we can get the rock in place the fewer homes will fall into the ocean. Additionally, this effort is not just about saving the beach, homes, lives and dreams of a community, but also an environmental concern because of all the household stuff falling into the ocean.
I am not directly associated with the North Willapa Harbor Grange, however, in full disclosure, I have property at North Cove, Grayland, Pacific County, Washington. I bought it in 2014 so my brother would have a place to live; he has since died, RIP brother. Also I know people there and they, we, need your help to save our community, our lives, our hopes and dreams.
Thank you for your donations and any help you can give North Cove, Washington. They are sincerely appreciated.
