Support our campaign to bring clean drinking water to the villages of Bali.
The water in Bali is not fit for human consumption unless boiled and purified. Many of the people in the villages still have to collect water from the river or from a well.
Our campaign is raising funds to buy water filters to donate to families and homes that need it. For now we are concentrating only on the 9 villages that are surrounding us in Tegalmengkeb, Tabanan, but hopefully with many more donations we can successfully provide many more filters for villages further afield.
So far we have already given more than 200 water filters away but many more are needed.
We have successfully equipped every family in the whole village of Banjar Alas, Desa Tegalmengkeb, and now have almost 100 more filters ready for the next village.
In total we need around 500 filters to provide for every family in the area.
As you can see from the photos in our video, we have had great support from travellers and holiday makers in the area who want to support our cause and help the community. We feel this is a much needed duty for the tourism industry, in giving back to its community and supporting one another.

For every donation more than €30, we can place a sticker with your name and country on the filter purchased to see who and where your support is going to.
The cost of one complete set is IDR 450.000 (€ 30,-) and to change the filter after 2 years costs IDR 200.000 (€15,-)
Bali already has a problem with plastic waste and we hope to improve this situation by reducing plastic bottles being used.

Who am I? Bernard van Elmpt. I spend most of my year in Bali and help the local people of my surrounding villages and beyond where and when possible.
How your donations are spent: 100% of the Funds are used directly to purchase the water filters only. We have a team of local Balinese who add labels of donators to the filters and then arrange to distribute to entire villages. We will update our campaign with photos of the distribution regularly.

Apoye nuestra campaña para agua potable limpia a los pueblos de Bali.
El agua en Bali no es apta para el consumo humano a menos que sea hervida y purificado. Muchas de las personas en las aldeas todavía tienen que recolectar agua del rio o de un pozo.
Nuestra campaña está recaudando fondos para comprar filtros de agua para donar a familias y hogares que lo necesitan.
Por ahora nos estamos concentrando solo en las 9 aldeas que nos rodean en Tegalmengkeb Tabanan, pero esperamos que con muchas más donaciones podamos proporcionar con éxito muchos más filtros para las aldeas más lejanas.
Hasta ahora, ya hemos entregado más de 200 filtros de agua, pero se necesitan muchos más.
Hemos equipado con éxito a todas las familias en el pueblo de Banjar Alas, Desa Tegalmengkeb, y ahora tenemos casi 100 filtros más para el proximo pueblo.

Por cada donación de más de € 30,- podemos colocar una pegatina con su nombre y pais en el filtro comprado, para ver a quién y dónde irá su apoyo.
El coste de un filtro completo es de IDR 450.000 (€ 30,-) y cambiar el filtro después de 2 años cuesta IDR 200.000 (€ 15,-)
Bali ya tiene un problema con los residuos plásticos y esperamos mejorar esta situación reduciendo el uso de botellas de plástico.
