Nepal Earthquake: Water For Nepal
Donation protected
Over 8,800 have died but the death count is not over.
On April 25th a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.8 richter scale hit Nepal. Nepal, one of the most poorest countries already, is now suffering from severe, insurmountable damage such as homelessness, displacement, lack of clean water, food, and supplies.
Due to damaged infrastructure, broken pipe lines, and contamination of existing water supplies, access to clean water is now near to impossible. As a result, an epidemic will arise from water borne diseases, making more deaths inevitable.
As an organization on campus, the Nepali Student Association of University of California, Berkeley has planned a campaign to raise funds in order to provide clean drinking water by means of water purification.
We will be raising money by collaborating with different departments on campus and in various ways, individually and through mobilization. All proceeds will be used to purchase and distribute water purifiers to those in most need in Nepali villages.
We would like to request donations and support in spreading the word of our campaign in order to make the greatest impact.
Additionally, we would highly appreciate it if you could take the time to reach out to others in any way, including forwarding this link, to help spread word of this campaign.
Please keep the families of Nepal in your thoughts and heart during this intense period. May we help Nepal recover from this disaster.
With deepest gratitude,
