WE CARE CHERYL
ONE OF OUR OWN AFFECTED BY THE TRAGEDY OF FIRE JUST DAYS BEFORE ALL HER FAMILY WERE TO GATHER FOR A BIG FAMILY CHRISTMAS. EVERYONE KNOWS AND LOVES ‘OUR’ CHERYL.
Cheryl Murchie is a huge part of our community. Cheryl is the one who serves up your coffee and great food each day in the refectory with a great deal of ‘sass’ and a big pinch of love and care. Cheryl is the one who loves pouring a glass or two for our McGregor College Arts Schools participants and for our Artworkx theatres and performances.
Sadly you won’t see Cheryl for a while as she is taking time to recover from losing virtually everything to a fierce fire (family photos, Christmas presents all wrapped and snuggly under the tree, her beloved children’s school blazers - treasured life memories as well as 2 of her beloved pets.) The shock of all this also saw Cheryl moved to Brisbane PA Hospital and she spent 9 days in hospital before she could even think of finding pets and trying to salvage anything.
“We Care Cheryl” is a campaign to raise funds to help Cheryl re-build her life and every little bit of help will be a huge help to her. Please dig deep and donate what you can.
