A family that lost everything
http://www.cfjctv.com/story.php?id=23485
This is my dad and our family. On June 1, 2015, just before his youngest daughter's 9th birthday, lost everything that he owned; his wife and three children only left with what they had on their backs and that they could rush and grab before their home fully engulfed in flames. With the assistance of Kamloops Accent Inn, however this is only for three days then they will have to determine what to do next.
My father did not have insurance so they will have to start off with nothing. As he mentions in the CFJC video that he believed his home could be saved, however the fire hydrants we not functioning and had to wait for a water truck to arrive that took approximately 20 minutes after the first Fire Crews arrived.
They are quite devasted as their were many items in the home that are irreplaceable.
His oldest son does not know that his home was lost as he is on a school field trip returning tomorrow morning where he will be notified of their loss.
Any donations will assist this family to start rebuilding as they do not have the means at this time to rent a new home. Please share with your contacts as they are in dire straights unsure of where they will be after they spend three nights at the Kamloops Accent Inn.
*If anyone would like to make any other type of donations of any nessesities, clothing or food voutchers for Darren, Nicole, the boys and my baby sister, please email me at [email redacted] or you can leave me facebook message and we can arrange for pick up/drop off.
Thank you for your warm hartedness and willing to contribute to the hope of rebuilding our family!
*Special thanks to the Kamloops Fire Department and Kamloops Victim Services! Much Love!
