My father needs a Wheelchair Van!
Donation protected
My father David was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis approximately 20 years ago. His MS has gotten progressivly worse and he is now confined to a wheelchair with little use of his legs.
Due to a several year construction project that was started when my father was still able to work, there is no money to be able to purchase a wheelchair accessible van, which is greatly needed. My mother is the only one working, and they can no longer afford to even finish their house.
Getting my father in and out of a vehicle is a struggle. He needs help getting in and out, as his legs are extremely weak. He has to be held on to while turning to sit down, and this is all performed by my mother while propping the car door open and holding his wheelchair in place just in case he misses the car seat.
A accessible van would would take a physical and emotional strain off my mother who is his primary and only caregiver.
Anyhelp would be incredible as it is so very hard to watch them struggle.
