Monster Girl Party -Art and Zines

Hey! I'm Paul, better known as GhostsinmyRamen. I'm a Feminist artist and zine maker out of california.  

For the past few months I've been working on a series of art projects and zines know as my "Monster Girl" series. The idea behind the Monster Girls was to give a humorous/serious  refelction of how women are viewed in our society when they don't follow the "rules" set for by media and gender norms.  The idea behind it was to show off how when a woman chooses not to conform to societies ideas of what is "feminine" or fails to meet the standards of "beauty" (often set by men) she will be seen as "not lady like" or "offensive". In short, she will be seen as a "Monster". 

So far I've published one zine, titled "You Know... Girl Shit..." and I'm currently working on the sequal along with another Monster Girl Zine about Online dating.  Both are works in progress, but I try to keep constant updates posted on my tumblr blog (link below) titled "Monstergirlparty"

Other than the Zines and art projects, I'm also hoping to expand the amount of merchendise I'll be producing. I currently have an etsy shop (ghostsinmyramen) where I mainly sell the zines I've made, along with some prints and other small items,  but I am considering making Tshirts, buttons, patches, and other accessories with my Monster Girl character on them. 

And of course, all that takes money :P

I currently work 40 hours a week, and spend pretty much all my free time working on art, zines and website content. But still, it adds up.

The reason I'm starting this GofundMe is to create a bank account of sorts for these projects. A bit of cash that I can pull from for supplies and to be able to make more products and pay for more conventions and exposure. 

I'd appreciate any support, even a dollar will make me so happy :3
