High Mortality - A Cry For Help!!
Tax deductible
How often do you think about your access to clean water? How often do you worry about the quantity or quality of the water that you use every day? Probably never. Such is not the case everywhere.
Prior to the recent outbreak of the Ebola Virus in Liberia, water-borne diseases were and continue to be a major cause of the high under five mortality. Many villages have no access to clean water and the ones that do sometimes have to pay prohibitive sums of money. Our focus is to provide safe clean drinking FREE water by installing deep water hand pump wells in all villages and towns throughout Maryland County, Liberia.
In order to implement this humanitarian project, we are once again counting on the kind generosity of friends, family, concerned individuals and businesses who, during the Ebola Virus outbreak, overwhelmingly responded in a way that allowed us to ship needed supplies to Maryland County. Our goal this year is to raise $50,000 by December 31st for the “Deep Water Hand Pump Wells”. We invite you to please visit our website at www.marylandersforprogress.org to see some of what we have done and continue to do. Please navigate our website for more information about our programs and activities.
Thanks for your kind and generous support. We are very grateful!
