Wrangell SDA VBS Fund
Donation protected
God has grander plans that we can ever imagine. In 2014, there was a conversation that led to Wrangell Seventh Day Adventist church doing a Vacation Bible Study (VBS) in Bethel, Ak. Now fast forward to 2017, five VBS programs later (3 in Bethel, 1 in Wrangell, 1 in Ketchikan) and we are considering doing three more this year (Craig, Bethel, and Ketchikan).
How did we get here? Our story began as a small church youth group looking for something to keep our youth active and serve our community. Starting in 2010, we began using sign language, drama, and dowels to music as a way to connect the youth with characters of the Bible using performance. God took that and grew it to now we annually are invited to community programs to perform. And now as our group is starting to get older, God has taken those talents and skills and asked us to use them outside our community to promote his word. We are still a small group from the little town of Wrangell, but we have learned that God is not limited by size.
This year our theme for Vacation Bible School is “God Leads His People,” where we will share about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and more. We believe God has more plans for us.
We need about $7000 before fund the travel, to and from the Vacation Bible School, as well as much needed supplies. Our next trip is Ketchikan in August.
We are thankful in advance for your donations to make these happen.
