Dear WYHS Alumni, Friends and Family,
As you know, CPS is cutting the budget for WYHS by almost $1.1M next year! Dr. Kenner has already addressed this issue in a recent letter to students, parents and faculty
Jobs will be lost, programs will be cut and education will be more costly for students.
Just take a moment to think about all that WYHS has done for you, the foundation it set for you when you went to college (you know you felt better prepared for college than most of your college freshman peers), the network of friends and business opportunities it created for you and just the overall awesomeness of being a DOLPHIN!
Remember when our school won all those national decathlon championships we were so proud of? Remember when we went down state to watch the boy's basketball team take the state title? Remember when the girls cheer and pom squads won all those city championships? Remember those awesome volleyball girls :) who also won all those city championships? Remember how awesome you felt after watching that viral youtube video of Mr. Fanning (now DEAN FANNING) dancing? Yes, this is YOUR school, a place you should be proud of.
Memories are great, feeling proud is great, but now, it's time to give back to your school especially during this needy time. Help provide the same education to future students as you were once lucky enough to have received.
Remember, every bit counts! Since I graduated in 2006, there has already been SEVEN graduating classes. That's an alumni network of more than 4,000 people (not to mention ALUMNI from before 2006)! Let's pull our checkbooks together and do something great for our school because we are proud to be a DOLPHIN!
My goal is to raise as much money as possible, the goal is $25,000 and then donate it all to the school before the start of the 2013 fall school year.
ARE YOU A DOLPHIN?? HELL YA!!
Any questions? Feel free to email me at anytime!
