A Playground where ALL can Play

Donation protected
Connor H.  and Connor J.  met in Kindergarten and there was an instant connection.

Together, they were known as Connor H. and Connor J. While Connor J. was non-verbal, Connor H. had a dream for both of them:   They would one day be able to play at Carly's Clubhouse, a playground for all children regardless of their capabilities.

But Connor J. died on May 3 before the dream could come true. In memory of his best friend, Connor H. planned a fundraiser to generate money for the playground in Pelham that's under development through donations.

"We loved each other as much as the universe could take. Basically we just could not be separated. The day I heard about when he died, that's when it struck me our hearts are too strong to be broken. I just really miss him and I'm sad that he's gone," Connor H. told Martin Reed of al.com

"I want to do it because he was my best friend and we never got to play on playgrounds together. And Carly's Clubhouse would be, when it is built, me and Connor could've played together and could've played with typical children like me. And if another friend has a disability, they can go there and play," Connor H. said.

There are currently NO playgrounds in the entire state where children of ALL abilities can play side-by-side. Connor's new dream is to raise enough money to build Carly's Clubhouse where all best friends will one day have a place to play together regardless of ability.

Connor H. planned a fundraiser at the local elementary and intermediate schools and with the help of his classmates, they raised over $760.   But Connor wanted to do more.  He realizes there is still a long way to go to make this dream a reality and now we need YOUR help to reach our goal.   Connor's personal goal is $20,000 but we need close to $800,000 to fund the entire playground.
