Xander's 3rd Bone Marrow Transplant
Donation protected
Last year Xander was in Mott Hospital for 96 days and underwent two bone marrow transplants (BMT) after being diagnosed in January of 2nd Grade with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). The second transplant was a rescue - it was his own cord blood that we had privately banked. Unfortunately, the MDS has returned quickly and Xander's only hope now is another allogenic BMT, this time from an identified living donor.
As a family, our sole income is our IT services business, icci which we have run for nearly 20 years. Financially, last year we survived by draining all of our retirement accounts, remortgaging our home to 90%, and by the loving and kind acts of our close family, friends, and clients who did fundraisers, gifted us cash, and gift cards.
The anonymous 23 year old donor has scheduled his surgery for April 29th to have 300ml of bone marrow directly drawn from his hip bone. We can never hope to repay the generosity of this act.
We are looking for your help, too. This year we have no more savings. If you can spare a few dollars, we promise to keep the FaceBook & Blog page as up to date as possible and provide a good story to follow.
