Xavier University Ice Hockey

We are a club hockey team from Xavier University located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our competition comes mainly from all over Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. Our program started in the late 90's but folded soon after as a consequence of insufficient players and funding. The program was reinstated in 2006. Up until 2010, the team consisted typically of 12 members (often competing with only 7 players) and has since grown to a team of 24 in just three years. As our program has grown in those three short years, so has our level of competition, allowing us to become a ranked hockey team for the first time in our history. In order to retain our rankings, we are forced to travel more than we have in the past predicating our need to raise more funds to compensate for hotels and gas.

This past year, we shattered a program record by ending the season 23-5-0, falling just short of qualifying for the national tournament. However, the season was capped off on positive note, capturing the championship in both of our end of the year tournaments.
