Save Jonas' Big Heart

On Friday, June 19th, Jonas was experiencing breathing difficulties and shortly thereafter, he was rushed to Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital in New York City for what was believed to be a possible heart attack. Since then, Jonas has been on life support in critical condition in the ICU. Doctors explained that he did not have a heart attack, but his blood pressure was and still is critically low, has a poorly funtioning heart, pneumonia in his lungs, and infected blood which has adversely affected his kidneys. Doctors have started dialysis in an attempt to reverse any kidney damage. His parents, Mary (Muffin) and Gordon ("Mo") from Pittsburgh PA, have not left his side and will continue to stay in New York City for as long as it takes to get Jonas healthy and back on his feet. As many of you know, Jonas has travelled the world and risked his own life to help people in need, making it his life's mission and now he needs us. Kind words are coming in from around the world and we are reading them to him hoping he hears them. It is hard to believe that his huge, generous heart could fail him. Jonas doesn't have the best insurance and any help would be greatly appreciated!
